Your editorial “Legalizing Discrimination” (Oct. 21) reminds me of the Institute for Effective Governance’s claim: “Efforts to achieve racial and ethnic diversity are commonplace on American college campuses.” Made up of current and former trustees of major universities, the institute fails to recognize the tremendous diversity that exists within the social construct we call “race.” Take Judge Allison Burroughs’s recent ruling against Students for Fair Admissions which alleges discrimination against Asian-Americans.
