Students celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Week with online games and Zoom concertsPenn’s 27th annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Week took place virtually for the first time this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Usually celebrated with free food and community-building performances, Penn students instead celebrated APAHW with Among Us competitions and Zoom concerts this year.

Although the APAHW Board said it was difficult to replicate the excitement of in-person events, many students deemed the online programming a success.

TLDR Penn, an event for first-year students to hear from upperclassmen panelists about navigating Penn, kicked off the week on Nov 9.

Event attendees met on GatherTown, an interactive video chat platform, to play online games such as Among Us, Skribbl.io, and poker.
