Governments need to take urgent action to adopt new action plans to address the wave of Covid-19 racism and xenophobia.

In Myanmar, ultra-nationalist leaders have used the pandemic to justify threats and hate speech against Muslims.

On May 4, the Anti-Defamation League released a list of near-daily incidents of racist attacks and cases of harassment from January through early May.

The Russian group SOVA, which monitors xenophobia and racism, told Human Rights Watch that there had been increased attacks against Asians since February.
