Minnesota’s Asian American solidarity with the George Floyd protests is part of a national trend.

Asian Americans were also more likely than any other group to say the protests had changed their views on racial justice.

But when Minneapolis police killed George Floyd, and unrest broke out, it sent shock waves of trauma through the community.

“Asian Americans have continuously been used as a wedge community in the work of white supremacy,” she said.

Organizing Tibetan solidarity for George Floyd has taught him new ways to mobilize people–skills he can apply to the Tibetan movement.
