More than 30,000 American Airlines mechanics, fleet service workers, and other ground-operations employees ratified a series of collective bargaining agreements, signaling an end to a tumultuous period of labor relations at the company that featured an alleged work slowdown that spurred flight disruptions and a lawsuit.

The Transport Workers Union of America and International Association of Machinists, which jointly represent mechanics and other airport workers at the company through the TWU-IAM Association, announced the ratification late Thursday.

Three groups of employees approved their respective labor agreements with at least 90% of workers in each category voting to ratify.
