Invisible storiesFor many Chinese Americans, the real story buried under the vitriolic noise is that their network of connections with China, Asian doctors and business people is precisely what has helped them help others during the coronavirus crisis.

Similarly, The Pearland Chinese Association collected and donated masks and other products from many Asian Americans who bought them earlier in the year.

Jie Wu, a board member of the association, said many Asian Americans who work in the Texas Medical Center also let them know early about concerns with medical supplies.
