The Latest on the effects of the coronavirus outbreak on sports around the world:___The Asian Football Confederation has postponed all qualifiers scheduled in October and November for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 Asian Cup.

The 2022 World Cup is set to be played in Qatar and the Asian Cup will be held in China the following year.

___Massachusetts is the latest school from the Football Bowl Subdivision, college football’s highest level, to cancel its fall season.

Athletic director Ryan Bamford said the school will try to conduct a football spring season if possible.

The Minutemen were forced to try football independence when the Mid-American Conference pushed them out after the 2015 season.
